About Our Candles
What kind of wax do you use?
Patrão Botanicals uses a range of thoughtfully selected wax blends, including Coconut-Apricot,
Deluxe Soy, ParaSoy, Olive-Oil, and Specialty Coconut-Based Waxes. Each blend is chosen to
complement the vessel, fragrance, and intended performance of the finished product. Because
formulations vary, please refer to the individual product page or Our Wax Collection guide for
additional details.
Are your candles hand-poured?
Yes. Every Patrão Botanicals candle is small-batch and hand-poured in New Hampshire.
Because of this, slight variations in appearance between batches are natural and expected —
each candle is truly one of a kind.
How long will my candle burn?
Burn time varies depending on the vessel size, wax blend, wick, fragrance, and how the candle
is cared for. Following the recommended wick-trimming and burn-care instructions will help
your candle burn safely and consistently. Please refer to the individual product page for that
candle’s approximate burn time.
How strong is the scent?
We formulate our candles for a balanced, true-to-life scent throw — present without being
overwhelming. Fragrance strength can vary slightly by scent family. If you have questions about
a specific candle, feel free to reach out before purchasing.
Candle Care
How do I get the best burn from my candle?
Follow these simple steps for the best experience:
• First burn: Allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the vessel before
extinguishing. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn throughout the life of
the candle.
• Trim your wick to 1/4 inch before every burn to prevent excess smoke and uneven
burning.
• Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
• Discontinue use when approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom.
Can I reuse my candle vessel?
Some Patrão Botanicals candle vessels are designed to be cleaned and reused; however, not every vessel is reusable. Please review the Vessel information on the individual product page before reusing a container.
Can I refill my room and linen spray bottle?
Yes. Patrão Botanicals room and linen spray bottles are designed to be reused. Once the bottle is empty, unscrew the sprayer and refill it only with the same Patrão Botanicals fragrance. Choose an 8 oz or 16 oz refill, with a starter-kit option that includes a reusable mini funnel or a refill-only option if you already have one. Do not mix fragrances, dilute the refill, or add water. Refills will be released after packaging and safety testing are complete.
Orders & Shipping
How long does it take to process my order?
Please allow 3–5 business days for your order to be handcrafted and packaged before it ships.
You will receive a tracking number once your order is on its way.
Do you ship outside the United States?
At this time, we ship within the contiguous United States only.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Cancellation requests must be submitted within 24 hours of placing the order. Orders cancelled within this period are eligible for a full refund. After 24 hours, orders cannot be cancelled.
Requests to change an order must be submitted within 24 hours of purchase. We will make every effort to accommodate your request, but changes are not guaranteed once processing has begun. Please contact Patrão Botanicals at info@patraobotanicals.com as soon as possible.
My order arrived damaged or defective. What should I do?
If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact Patrão Botanicals at info@patraobotanicals.com within three days of delivery. Include your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photographs of the product and packaging. Approved claims may be resolved with a replacement or store credit at the discretion of Patrão Botanicals.
